The majority of Romanians (98%) heard about the street protests of these weeks and 81% consider they are justified, reveals a sociological poll conducted by the Romanian Institute for Evaluation and Strategy (IRES).

According to the poll, 1% of subjects answered that they attended all rallies in their locality, 4% said they were present in several protests, and another 4% protested only once.

An overwhelming 81% of respondents support the rallies, and only 13% disagree. According to the subjects of the poll, the most important demands of protesters were the replacement of the president and the government, the poor living standards and the lack of jobs.

The IRES poll was conducted during 27-28 January 2012, on 1,099 subjects from all the regions of the country, and has an error margin of 3%.

Majoritatea românilor - 98% - au auzit de manifestaţiile din stradă care au avut loc în ultimele săptămâni şi 81% consideră că ele sunt un lucru bun, relevă un studiu sociologic realizat de Institutul Român pentru Evaluare şi Strategie (IRES)

Potrivit cercetării, 1% dintre respondenţi spun că au participat la toate manifestaţiile din localitatea lor, 4% au răspuns că au participat la mai multe proteste, iar alţi 4% au declarat că au participat o singură dată la manifestaţii.

În timp ce 81% dintre persoanele intervievate consideră ca fiind un lucru bun faptul că au avut loc aceste manifestaţii, 13% consideră că este un lucru rău. În opinia celor chestionaţi, cele mai importante teme abordate de protestatari au vizat schimbarea preşedintelui şi a guvernului, precum şi nivelul scăzut de trai, veniturile reduse şi lipsa locurilor de muncă.

Sondajul IRES a fost realizat în perioada 27-28 ianuarie 2012 pe un eşantion reprezentativ de 1.099 persoane din toate regiunile ţării. Marja de eroare este de ą 3%.
