Former tennis great Ilie Nastase again showed his les pleasant face. Nastase assaulted and cursed an Antena 3 TV team on Otopeni Airport on Wednesday night. The reporters were trying to get him to comment on the corruption allegations leveled against him by the Romanian Tennis Federation. The federation has notified the anticorruption department after discovering a series of irregularities in the accounting books for 2001-2008, while Nastase headed the body.
Whether he was tired or overwhelmed with romance after his trip to Paris, what’s certain is that he snapped when he heard the reporters’ questions and the situation almost escalated into physical violence after Nastase did not hold back on any insults:
“Get out of here, punk! You want me to punch you? (…) Are you dumb, dude? Are you dumb? You want me to kick your ass? Stupid f**k, get the f**k out of here!,” Nastase yelled.
When asked by reporters why he got upset, he answered, “I’m upset because you’re dumb, that’s why!”
Reporter: Why are you violent?
I.N.: Why do you have the right to film me? You f***ing paparazzo!
Reporter: Why are you acting like this? We were civilized?
I.N.: Did I ask you to come here?

Fostul mare tenisman, Ilie Nastase, şi-a arătat încă o dată, partea mai puţin plăcută. Năstase a agresat şi înjurat o echipă a Antenei 3 miercuri noaptea pe aeroportul Otopeni. Reporterii încercau să obţină o reacţie la acuzaţiile de coruptie, pe care i le aduce Federaţia Română de Tenis. Forul sportiv a sesizat Direcţia Naţională Anticorupţie după ce a descoperit nereguli în contabilitate din perioada 2001-2008, pe cînd preşedintele federaţiei era Ilie Năstase.
O fi fost obosit sau poate copleşit de romantism după excursia la Paris. Cert este ca şi-a ieşit din fire când a auzit întrebările reporterilor si putin a lipsit ca situatia sa degenereze si in violenta fizica, asta dupa ce Nastase nu a facut economie de invective.
