On Monday, January 14, WOWBiz.ro reporters called the Niguarda clinic in Milan where Dinu Patriciu (62) underwent a liver transplant on December 21, and found out that the Romanian businessman is no longer hospitalized. Moreover, clinic representatives are desperate because Patriciu has to pay another EUR 14,000 and he cannot be found.
According to a nurse that personally took care of the Romanian businessman, Dinu Patriciu was recently discharged and can no longer be found. “I know the hospital called looking for him. He still has to pay some money, I don’t know exactly how much. Wait! I’ll put you in touch with someone who knows,” one of the nurses that took care of Patriciu during the post-surgery period stated.
“Mr. Patriciu has to urgently pay EUR 14,000. The debt represents the costs of the post-surgery hospitalization. After he was discharged we were no longer able to contact him. The phone number he left is always unavailable. We are calling every day,” the hospital’s representative stated, after which he called for help: “Do you know where we could find him? Is he still in Italy? Do you have a phone number he would answer?”
The fact that Dinu Patriciu owes money to the Niguarda clinic in Milan was revealed exclusively by WOWBiz.ro on January 3. Several days after the article appeared Patriciu left the hospital and cut all communications with it.

Reporterii WOWBiz.ro au sunat luni, 14 ianuarie, la clinica Niguarda din Milano (Italia), unde Dinu Patriciu (62 de ani) a fost supus, pe 21 decembrie, unei operatii de transplant de ficat si au aflat ca omul de afaceri roman nu mai e in spital. Mai mult, reprezentantii clinicii sunt disperati, deoarece Patriciu mai are de achitat 14.000 de euro si e de negasit.
Conform unei asistente a spitalului Niguarda din Milano, care l-a ingrijit personal pe afaceristul roman, Dinu Patriciu ar fi fost externat zilele trecute si de atunci, e de negasit. "Stiu ca au sunat de la spital ca sa-l caute. Mai are de achitat niste bani, nu stiu eu exact cati. Stati! Va fac legatura cu cineva care stie", a spus una dintre asistentele care a avut grija de Patriciu, in perioada de recuperare de dupa operatie.
Dupa ce le-a fost facuta legatura catre "cineva care stie", reporterii WOWBiz au aflat alte amanunte interesante. "Domnul Patrciu trebuie sa achite urgent 14.000 de euro. Datoria reprezinta costurile de spitalizare de dupa operatie. Dupa externare, nu l-am mai putut contacta. Numarul de telefon lasat de dansul este vesnic inchis. Se suna in fiecare zi", a spus reprezentantul spitalului, dupa care a cerut ajutorul: "Stiti cumva unde il putem gasi? Mai e in Italia? Aveti un numar de telefon la care sa raspunda?".
Faptul ca Dinu Patriciu era dator la clinica Niguarda din Milano a fost dezvaluit, in exclusivitate, de WOWBiz.ro, pe 3 ianuarie. La cateva zile dupa aparitia reportajului, Patriciu s-a externat si n-a mai dat nici un semn.
