PDL leader Emil Boc said Monday, on TVR that his party can recover the ground it lost in opinion polls, because people don’t see USL as “the main alternative” to the ruling power.

"There is still much time until the parliamentary elections. I think we will recover a lot, but it depends on us how much we will. If it will be with me, one way or another, is less important,” Boc stated on the public television.

“USL did not increase spectacularly, because people don’t see them as main alternative in Romania, so PDL and the coalition still have a way to recover, but without populism,” he added.

Preşedintele PDL, Emil Boc a afirmat, luni seara, la TVR, că democrat-liberalii, deşi au scăzut în sondaje, pot recupera procentele pierdute deoarece oamenii nu văd în USL "principala alternativă" la actuala guvernare.

"Vă asigur că până la alegerile parlamentare este cale lungă. Cred că va fi o recuperare consistentă, depinde de noi cât va fi de mare. Dacă va fi cu mine, într-o formă sau alta, este mai puţin important", a spus Boc la TVR.

El a explicat şi motivul pentru care consideră că există şanse ca PDL să recupereze procentele pierdute. "USL nu a crescut spectaculos pentru că oamenii nu-i văd ca principala alternativă în România. De aceea, PDL şi coaliţia au încă o cale deschisă să recupereze, dar nu cu populisme", a arătat liderul democrat-liberalilor.
