Athénée Palace Hilton announced the appointment of Chaiyasith Srichom, otherwise known as Lam, as executive chef for the hotel’s outlets and banqueting services.
Chaiyasith Srichom started his career in Verona, a well establish fine dining Italian restaurant in Sydney and then moved to Europe, first London and then Prague, where he worked at Maze Prague by Gordon Ramsey being promoted as sous chef.
At Maze, the chef and his team earned themselves the highest of culinary accolades,a Michelin Star.
Chef Srichom’s journey within Hilton Hotels & Resorts started at Hilton Prague Old Town, at the hotels Maze restaurant. During this experience, he was able to travel to become involved in several hotel openings elsewhere in the company’s portfolio including Hilton Liverpool and the luxury London Syon Park, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
In summer of 2011, Chaiyasith Srichom was asked to join the Athénée Palace Hilton to bring new ideas and assist the newly opened Roberto’s. Here he found another opportunity to showcase his skills and he immediately fell in love with the city, the people and the legendary hotel. When the former chef, Gabrielle Savini decided to continue his career with Hilton at another hotel in Europe, Chaiyasith Srichom embraced the challenges of the executive chef position.

Chef Srichom is also supported by a new Italian chef Bruno Visibelly and his first project in his new role will be to relaunch the brunch in Roberto’s Restaurant and organize the most magic and fun festive season at Athénée Palace Hilton. Chaiyasith Srichom is confident he will deliver the best quality and service in the hotel’s food and beverage options, offering its guests a new culinary experience.
Born in a remote village 700 km north of Bangkok, his family moved to Australia in the late 70s and settled in the City of Darwin where he studied four years in the fine arts of commercial culinary program. The love for food began at a much earlier stage, when Lam was collecting fresh herbs and vegetables from his mother’s garden and prepared them for dinner, under the watchful eye of his mother. He then learned the basics of gastronomic, to respect the product and use the ingredients in season and at their best.

Athénée Palace Hilton a anuntat numirea lui Chaiyasith Srichom (cunoscut si ca Lam) in functia de bucatar sef pentru restaurantele si serviciile de catering ale hotelului.
Chaiyasith Srichom si-a inceput cariera la restaurantul Verona, un restaurant italian din Sydney, dupa care s-a mutat in Europa, mai intai la Londra si apoi la Praga, unde a lucrat la Maze Praga si a fost promovat sous chef.
