The Palace of Parliament lights will be switched off on Saturday evening from 8.30 PM to 9.30 PM, in order to mark Earth Hour, the event being meant to convey a powerful message concerning action against climate change.

The Lower Chamber’s Permanent Bureau approved on Monday the International World Wide Fund for Nature organization’s request for the lights of the Palace of Parliament to be switched off on March 23, for Earth Hour, from 8.30 PM to 9.30 PM.

People and institutions from all over the world will turn the lights off in over 6,500 cities on Saturday, from 8.30 PM to 9.30 PM, the internal memorandum approved by the Lower Chamber’s leadership shows.

Lumina la Palatul Parlamentului va fi stinsă sâmbătă seară, timp de o oră, între 20.30 şi 21.30, pentru a marca Ora Pământului (Earth Hour), acest eveniment propunându-şi să transmită un mesaj puternic privind acţiunea împotriva schimbărilor climatice.

Biroul Permanent al Camerei Deputaţilor a aprobat, luni, solicitarea în acest sens a Organizaţiei Internaţionale World Wide Fund For Nature potrivit căreia în 23 martie, de Ora Pământului, lumina să fie oprită la Palatul Parlamentului în intervalul orar 20.30 - 21.30.

Palatul Parlamentului a participat şi anii trecuţi la Ora Pământului.

Sâmbătă, între orele 20.30 - 21.30, oameni şi instituţii de pe tot globul se vor uni pentru a stinge luminile în peste 6.500 de oraşe, se arată în memorandumul intern aprobat de conducerea Camerei Deputaţilor.
